We're searching for a Senior Content Operations Manager to lead our Learning Experience Design team, ensuring efficient processes, optimizing workflows, and aligning content with our organizational vision. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in content creation, management, and operations within ed tech.
- Content Management Systems: Ownership of managing learning content management systems (LCMS) to ensure efficient and effective content storage, organization, and retrieval. Collaborates with IT teams to optimize LCMS functionality and user experience for content creators and internal consumers
- Content Strategy & Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, including overseeing the entire content lifecycle from ideation, production, to post-publication analysis.
- Content Distribution and Scheduling: Develop and manage content development calendars/roadmaps to ensure the right content is delivered to the right place at the right time. Collaborate with learning design, product, and sales, to align content distribution with business objectives and target audience needs
- Content Workflow Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance content workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve content creation and launch timelines
- Content Repurposing and Updates: Identify opportunities to repurpose and update existing content to maximize its value and reach. Collaborate with content creators and subject matter experts to ensure timely updates and relevance of content assets
- Content Flow Management: Oversee the flow of content across the business, ensuring efficient content creation, review, approval, and launch processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for smoother content operations
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong collaboration and communication with content creators, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to facilitate effective content operations. Act as a liaison between different teams to ensure alignment and coordination of content-related activities
- Metrics and Performance Monitoring: Work with the Director of Learning Experience Design to establish and track KPIs related to content operations, such as content turnaround time, content accuracy, and content utilization. Analyze data and provide insights to optimize content operations and improve overall efficiency
- Vendor and Agency Management: Oversee relationships with content-related vendors, agencies, and freelancers, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget requirements
- Stay Updated on Content Management Trends: Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in content management systems, content operations, and content marketing to drive innovation and efficiency in content strategies.
- Work with learning design to support the management and improvement of master templates that facilitate the content development process
- Project management: work closely with learning experience design teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive results and reporting across all ongoing initiatives and lines of work.
- Demonstrated experience in learning content management systems and content operations, with a focus on optimizing content workflows and processes
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage content calendars and coordinate content distribution across multiple channels and platforms
- Proficiency in content repurposing and updates to leverage existing assets and enhance content value
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with content creators, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset and familiarity with content performance metrics to track and monitor content operations effectiveness.
- Knowledge of learning content management best practices and industry trends
- Strong project and program management experience
- Flexible mindset - is comfortable with a startup environment where things can move/change quickly
