Job Description:

As a Product Manager for our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and growth of our SaaS platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Roadmap:

  • Develop and maintain a product strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals and market needs.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Define product features, functionality, and enhancements based on customer insights, industry trends, and business priorities.

Product Development and Delivery:

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver product features and releases on schedule.
  • Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Drive the product development process from concept to launch, including product definition, design, development, testing, and release.

Product Performance and Optimization:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to assess product performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Conduct A/B testing, user testing, and usability studies to gather insights and validate product hypotheses.
  • Continuously iterate and improve the product based on feedback and data-driven insights to drive user engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

Market Positioning and Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product releases and feature enhancements, including messaging, positioning, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to create compelling collateral, presentations, and sales tools to support product launches and customer engagement.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to adjust positioning and messaging as needed to maintain a competitive advantage.

Orchestrate Customer Feedback:

  • Establish Customer Advisory Group(s) and Special Interest Groups.
  • Monitor Activities of Key Competitors

Stakeholder Communication and Alignment:

  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to internal stakeholders, including executives, engineering teams, sales teams, and customer support teams.
  • Facilitate alignment and collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure a shared understanding of product priorities, timelines, and goals.
  • Act as a product evangelist both internally and externally, representing the product vision and roadmap to customers, partners, and industry influencers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Understanding of SaaS models, software development processes, and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a data-driven approach to product development and optimization.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, product management tools (e.g., JIRA), and UX/UI design principles.
