Requirements

Role Overview

The Supplier Development Representative is responsible for managing and growing relationships with equipment suppliers across national, regional, and local markets. This role plays a critical part in sourcing competitive pricing, supporting quoting efforts, and ensuring strong supplier coverage for customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage quoting requests for construction equipment across multiple markets

  • Develop, build, and maintain strong supplier relationships

  • Negotiate competitive pricing with national, regional, and local equipment providers

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer requests

  • Identify gaps in supplier coverage and onboard new vendors as needed

  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, pricing, and equipment availability

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 1–3 years of experience in the construction equipment or equipment rental industry preferred (not required)

  • Experience working with complex or national accounts is a plus

  • Strong consultative negotiation skills

  • Solid understanding of equipment markets, pricing structures, and supplier networks

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
