Who We’re Looking For
CREtelligent is seeking an entry level Quality Assurance Software Engineer within the greater Sacramento, California area. The IT Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications and systems used by our commercial real estate due diligence company. This role involves developing and executing test plans, identifying, and documenting defects, and collaborating with software developers and project teams to resolve issues. The IT Quality Assurance Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of IT systems and delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and client expectations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Create and execute test plans and cases based on project requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Defect Management:
- Document, prioritize, and manage defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Work with development teams to resolve issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Test Automation:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Identify automation opportunities and execute automated tests, analyzing results for accuracy.
- Quality Assurance Processes:
- Implement quality assurance best practices and provide guidance on methodologies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with development teams, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Communicate test results and participate in project meetings.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and recommend improvements to testing processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Certifications: Preferred in quality assurance/testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
- Experience: 1-3 years in QA/testing roles; familiarity with automated tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber) and commercial real estate is a plus.
- Skills: Strong understanding of testing principles, test planning, case design, execution, and defect management. Basic knowledge of TestRail and API testing (Postman). Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum.
- Abilities: Analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.

Paid Time Off

COMPENSATION
Compensation: $33.00 - $37.00/hourly (equivalent to $68,640 - $77,000 annually). We conduct annual performance and salary reviews to continue to increase your compensation level as you grow and perform in the role.
